Cellulite....we've all got it!

It's the bane of many women's lives - those lumpy, orange peel like dimples that make themselves at home on our thighs and bottoms. In other words… CELLULITE!
But there are ways to minimise their appearance through a combination of healthy eating, exercise, body care and creams.
That said, it's important to remember that cellulite affects around 85% of women and it's nothing to be ashamed of - love your body and love yourself!
If you can't learn to love it, here are five easy ways to help minimise the appearance of cellulite:
Dry brush your body
In essence, dry brushing is a combination of exfoliation and massage that involves taking a dry brush and moving it over your body in slow, circular motions two to three times a week.
The firm bristles of the brush give your skin a thorough exfoliation, while the pressure helps to stimulate your circulation and lymphatic drainage, which can help the body eliminate the toxins which can contribute to cellulite.
It's best to do this before you shower, for about three to five minutes. But be gentle, don't press too hard and definitely no scrubbing. You're aiming for gentle exfoliation!
Relax your mind
We’re often guilty of rushing around like crazy, without ever finding time to relax and unwind.
But that kind of lifestyle can lead to our bodies becoming super unhealthy. When we feel stressed, we produce cortisol and this chemical is pumped around our body.
In addition to causing a host of other problems, cortisol can actually encourage our bodies to store fat. And as more fat accumulates, so can the appearance of cellulite.
Yoga can help reduce stress and moving from pose to pose can help increase circulation and the flow of lymphatic fluid. Or how about downloading a mindfulness app and taking some time to reflect and relax each evening?
Embrace healthy eating
While cellulite can target anyone, whatever their weight, it makes sense to opt for a healthy diet.
It’s best to increase your fruit and vegetable intake, especially blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, and cranberries, and eat healthy fats, such as oily fish, flaxseeds and nuts.
Swap simple processed carbs for wholegrain low GI carbs, such as multi-grain bread, sweet potato and legumes, as these little gems help to stabilise blood sugars and insulin levels.
Use a specialist cream
e'lifexir Bodylift Anti-Cellulite & Lifting Cream is part of the e’lifexir targeted body care range, created from natural and organic plant and fruit extracts. It’s cruelty-free, suitable for vegans and it offers a triple anti-cellulite effect.
Sundews leaf, a carnivorous plant, helps to smooth the skin and reduce the appearance of cellulite.
Dragon eye extract protects the skin tissues through its antioxidant action and improves skin texture.
Black elder extract helps improve microcirculation and decongestion of the skin tissue while cherry, cranberry, and orange water help protect the skin.
And what’s more, e'lifexir products contain NO parabens, acrylates, colourants, petrolatum, mineral oils, paraffin, silicones, PEGs, sulphates or artificial fragrances!
Up your exercise game
Firming the muscle underneath the cellulite will help smooth the skin's appearance. Focusing on strength-training also helps to build-up in the hamstrings, quads, buttocks and hips. Aim to train your lower body at least twice a week, increasing the weight over time to challenge your muscles!
And now it’s spring, how about taking your exercise outdoors for a bit of variation? How about going on a bike ride or a run? Or you could grab your trusty yoga mat and practising some poses in the garden?
Love yourself and love your body!
